I inherited a 100foot tape measure from my grandfather. It’s in a round case with a fold-up lever that lets you reel in the tape manually. It was designed for big projects, such as measuring a foundation or site planning for an outbuilding. Because the tape is marked only in ⅛-inch increments, it’s not really accurate enough to use for carpentry.
